In September, IGINTE! returns for season 3 of prayer. Join us as we spend time together in focused prayer all September long on Tuesday evenings from 7-8PM here at the church.

Ministry Opportunities
- We are creating a team to help with the production of Video Announcements. Tasks would include videoing the speaker, editing videos, choosing background and lighting, etc. Please contact the church office to sign up for this opportunity.
- Do you have an interest in leading the children's ministry or know of someone who would do a great job of it? If so, please contact Derrick Howard at derrick@efclascruces.org.
- Our Worship Team is looking for a drummer. If you are a drummer or know one who is looking for a place to serve, please reach out to Michael Dean.
- Digging Deeper, our church’s children’s ministry during the sermon time, is looking for one or two new teams. Please contact Julie Schumpelt, Director of Digging Deeper.
- Looking for a simple way to serve? We need Snack Providers for the lobby and at the family tables in the sanctuary. Contact the church office for more information or to sign up.
Local Ministry Team Meeting
There is a Local Ministry Meeting on August 25 from 6:30-8 PM. The meeting will be held at the church.
Diaper Drive for Showers of Grace
In preparation for their Fall Reunion on October 10, First EFC is collecting diapers for Showers of Grace families during the month of September. Every size is needed but particularly sizes 4, 5, 6, and 7. Place donations in the playpen in the foyer. Thank you!
Ministry Fair on Sept. 13
Our church is hosting a Ministry Fair on Sept 13 from 9-10 AM and also after the worship service. This is a wonderful way to learn about all of our ministries and a super opportunity to ask questions and engage with our Ministry Leaders, and possibly sign up for a ministry or two as the Lord leads.
New Equipping Class Begins August 30th
Are you tired of being a pawn in the culture war? Feeling squeezed between political and theological extremes? How do we live faithfully when we don't feel at home in this increasingly secular culture? On August 30, we will begin an Equipping Class entitled "How to Transcend the Culture War and Transform the World." This six-lesson series will include short videos by J. D. Greear who calls us to reimagine our Christian witness in today’s world followed by class discussions to discover biblical insights for witnessing well in our polarized, post-Christian world. Come join us each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. for insights from the books of Daniel and 1 Peter.
We also encourage you to listen to a Moody Radio program called The Land And The Book. It often provides very helpful insights regarding God's involvement in Israel, as well as how to reach out to our friends with the Gospel. Check out Moody Radio at 89.7 at noon on Saturdays, or 9 p.m. on Sundays. To listen at your convenience, get the Moody Radio app (free) and at the bottom click on "Discover." CELEBRATE RECOVERY
Celebrate Recovery, a 12-Step program based on the Beatitudes about addressing "Hurts, Habits, and Hang-Ups”, meets every Monday night for teaching and testimonies at Temple Baptist on Missouri near Triviz from 6-8 p.m.
There is also the option of every Tuesday at University Community Church on Jordan at University. 6-8 p.m.
